Complete Junk
For reference: I am using a Mares Icon HD dive computer. Review summary: If you use a Mares Icon as well, don’t waste time on this “application”.
Review:
You know things get really, terribly, mortally embarrassing for a “native” piece of software supplied in conjunction with the hardware manufacturer when the software simply doesn’t work - while unrelated third party software recognizes and operates the hardware just fine.
Version 1.5.4 of this garbage application will recognize that there’s a Mares Icon dive computer on USB somewhere… and then utterly and completely fail to do anything with it other than bombard me with messages along the lines of “USB connections to the Mares HD are known to be unstable”. I mean how embarassing is that?
Allow me to recommend an alternate product I have been using for a long time: DiveLogDT. It works just fine with the Mares Icon and is generally a far, far better and more comprehensive application on both OS X and iOS. The only reason I ever even tired the abysmal DiversDiary was the fact that DiveLogDT took a while to implement the Mares Icon interface (so I got impatient).
